Small and friendly, the Plush Lop rabbit has lopped ears and a super soft, short coat.
They feel like velvet and make ideal pets and emotional support animals!
Plush Lops have been bred in Europe for several years. They come in two sizes. Standard Plush Lops are approximately 4-5 pounds and Mini Plush Lops 3-4 pounds.
In the fall of 2021, a group of breeders imported several plush lops from Europe. This introduced some well established lines and good type to the USA. At this time, we took the opportunity to welcome some new Plush Lops from the Netherlands which carried the Lutino gene.
In the spring of 2022 we added two more Lutino rabbits from Russian import lines to add diversity to the program and also imported a few more Lutino Plush Lops from Europe.
These rabbits were the foundation herd for Lutino Plush Lops in the USA.
After a few years of working on the new colors and balancing diversity with maintaining quality of type, we started sharing these amazing and beautiful rabbits with others!
